Yoink popclip11/17/2023 ![]() ![]() In fact, that is not communicated properly, which I find a shame. I got a message that you can't see how much the app costs on the Paste.io website. However, this function (without history) is also available natively under macOS and iOS or iPad OS. The app synchronizes your data with iCloud and so you automatically have a shared clipboard between several Macs or on iPhone and iPad. One more note: The Paste app is also available on iPadOS and iOS, but I haven't used it there yet. For me, Setapp has already paid off several times because I use some of the apps all the time. If you haven't used Setapp yet, you can either use the app buy from developers or (that would be my recommendation) take a look at that Setapp subscription. If you are already a user of Setapp Paste can be installed directly, as it has had a place in the Setapp collection of (terrific) apps for a long time. I have set this to one year so that I can use seldom used data again. The Paste settings can be used to define how long the contents of the clipboard should be kept. For this reason it has the “Pick of the Week” award really deserved. There are numerous cases where paste has made my life more comfortable over the past few years. I use access data several times a day for various web services, but do not want to have them in my password management (because they are from customers, for example).Sometimes I need different text passages over and over again for various domains (for example if you want to renew the imprint on several customer domains). For my domain administration I have two name server addresses that I cannot (and have to) remember, because I only have to type part of them in paste and I can find and use them that way.I copy a few shades of color to the clipboard in Photoshop for customer websites and can then paste them into a CSS file one after the other without having to constantly switch back and forth.I have to enter my IBAN somewhere and can search for and insert it with paste. It is certainly interesting to know where Paste.app helps me most often, because this way you may find a use case for the app. The rules automatically define, for example, that password managers are not allowed to store any information in the paste history. Of course, the “normal” copy-and-paste still works, but the content does not go into the history of the clipboard. Adobe Photoshop) should not be taken into account when saving the clipboard. You set in the rules that the graphics program of your choice (e.g.The data in the paste buffer is then cleaned up. The retention time is set as low as a week or a month. However, you can solve the matter in two ways: One can imagine that storing all of this image data requires significantly more memory than storing a few snippets of text. Danger: memory hogs when copying imagesīasically, storing the clipboard is a great thing, but it harbors a certain danger if you work a lot with graphics programs and diligently copy larger parts of the image there. ![]() If you activate the paste pin board with the last entries, you can see the corresponding content in tiles at the bottom of the screen. With URLs you get a small preview of the website in the list, with HEX codes the corresponding web color is displayed, images are also displayed and with texts you can see a multi-line text preview. Data types and duration of paste historyĪ very nice thing about Paste is that it not only remembers text, but also copied graphics, HEX color codes, music clips, URLs or whatever you get on the clipboard. However, the history is usually displayed with a keyboard shortcut. The Paste.app does not appear in the dock, but is available in the menu bar. You can work effectively with paste, especially if you memorize the appropriate shortcuts to have quick access to the pinboard or to the "quick paste" function. ![]()
